Surveyor
Daniel began his journey with MEC in 2023 with previous experience as a topographical surveyor, working in a large surveying firm for a variety of different clients. After developing his skills, experience and competence, he wanted to broaden his horizons into surveying in its entirety to develop his awareness of different surveying techniques and understanding of them.
Studying Geography at university, leaving with a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honours), Daniel has always had a passion for mapping and collecting data which he discovered through GIS. He now has an ambition to become a recognised surveyor through the Charted Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) whilst expanding his knowledge in different surveying practices.
Since joining MEC he has thoroughly enjoyed training in Measured Building Surveys, Utility Surveys and developing the knowledge of UAV surveys, whilst adapting to the differences between his specialised practice of land surveying.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing badminton and running 5ks, as well playing a fair amount of computer games.
