We’re excited to announce our return to Birmingham, as we have officially opening our third office in the heart of the city at 31 Temple Street.
Managed by Director, Rob MacDonald, MEC Birmingham will offer the full range of multi-disciplinary technical services and we are looking to recruit specialist engineers into the office in the coming months.
“MEC has always had a strong client base in and around Birmingham which has continued to grow significantly in recent years,” explains Rob. “With over 100 active projects across the Midlands region and a similar volume in the pipeline, we knew the timing was right to re-launch our Birmingham office and establish a permanent presence in the city.
“From 31 Temple Street, which is right in the city centre and a five-minute walk from New Street Station, we are confident we will be able to better serve existing clients as well as increase our profile to attract new business and talented professionals. We are actively recruiting and hope to have additional team members in place by the end of the year,” adds Rob.
Our current schemes in the West Midlands include a 294-bed BTR scheme at 100 Broad Street, Birmingham; residential development at Baldwin’s Gate, Newcastle-under-Lyme; and two new instructions on residential schemes within the emerging Worcester Parkway development area.
Our Managing Director, Alex Bennett adds: “We are proud to count many of the region’s best-known housebuilders, land promoters and developers as clients and look forward to establishing new connections now our Birmingham base is up and running.
“Birmingham has a buoyant property sector and enjoys a strong reputation as the UK’s second city. With the housing market now showing signs of an upturn as well as the forthcoming HS2, investment in the region will be significant. We therefore felt it was a sound decision to pursue this expansion of our business to ensure long-term success. Now located prominently in the heart of Birmingham, we are excited to be part of the many project teams making positive contributions to the changing cityscape and neighbourhoods,” concludes Alex.
MEC Birmingham is located with Northspring, a heritage building that has been recently renovated and also includes a private roof terrace, concierge, Zoom rooms and recording studio.
