Objections Overturned On Hertfordshire Development

Objections Overturned On Hertfordshire Development

The expert advice of our Flood Risk & Drainage team has helped secure approval for a residential development in Hertfordshire.

26 new homes will now be built by Gade Homes in the village of Graveley following a resolution to grant decision earlier this month.

“Our team was commissioned specifically to overcome 15 separate objections on a previous design,” explains our senior flood risk engineer, Ryan Chafer. “Specifically these related to how the surface water and foul water generated by the site could be controlled, contained and conveyed off-site safely.

“Working closely with the LLFA at Hertfordshire County Council, we prepared a revised drainage strategy, design work and technical notes in response to each objection, including modelling with the most up-to-date information. We successfully managed to overturn each one and with planning permission now granted, we hope to continue partnering Gade Homes deliver this development.”
