MEC’s Utilities Team Help Allison Homes Secure Land for New Residential Development

MEC's Utilities Team is pleased to announce that it has helped Allison Homes secure its third parcel of land in the East Midlands region, located in the Leicestershire village of Stanton-Under-Bardon.

Project Background

Allison Homes, a well-established residential developer, has secured a new site in Stanton-Under-Bardon, Leicestershire, for the proposed development of up to 50 high-quality residential dwellings. This project will contribute to meeting the growing housing demand in the region. As part of the site preparation, a comprehensive assessment of the utilities infrastructure was required to ensure the seamless provision of key services for the development.

Overview of MEC Services

MEC was commissioned to perform a Utilities Assessment for the Stanton-Under-Bardon project. The primary objectives of this assessment were:

• To determine how the proposed development would be connected to essential utility services such as electricity, gas, water, and telecommunications.
• To identify any existing utilities infrastructure that may be impacted by the development, and to assess whether diversions or protection measures would be necessary to mitigate disruptions or conflicts with ongoing construction activities.
• To establish the most cost-effective and efficient strategy for integrating new utility services into the development, ensuring compliance with local planning regulations and utility provider requirements.

Outcome

MEC successfully completed the Utilities Assessment, providing Allison Homes with a clear pathway to establish the necessary utility connections while ensuring minimal disruption to existing services. This project marks the third site secured by Allison Homes in the East Midlands region, further strengthening their presence in the area.
