MEC Supports Planning Submission for 200-Home Development in Newbold Verdon

MEC Supports Planning Submission for 200-Home Development in Newbold Verdon

Plans have been submitted by Bloor Homes for a proposed 200-home development on the edge of Newbold Verdon.

MEC provided technical expertise to support the application, ensuring that key environmental considerations formed part of a robust planning submission. This included an acoustic assessment, a flood risk assessment with an accompanying drainage strategy, an air quality assessment, and a minerals assessment delivered by our Geo-Environmental team.

Now with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, the proposals feature not only new homes but also a health and wellbeing hub or community shop, along with sports pitches and playing fields to enhance local amenities. Spanning 20.7 acres (8.3 hectares), the scheme has been thoughtfully designed to meet the area’s growing housing needs while supporting long-term community aspirations.

A decision on the application could be made later this year, and MEC wishes Bloor Homes every success as the project moves through the planning process.
