Two Planning Approvals granted for a total of 66 new homes in Worcestershire

Two planning approvals for our client Terra over recent weeks has seen 66 new homes move forward in Worcestershire, both supported by our technical expertise.

First up was Bretforton Road, Honeybourne, where Outline Planning Approval was secured for a 3.1-acre site delivering 24 new homes. Our Geo-Environmental team provided a Phase I Desk Study that highlighted only minor, localised risks around the former stables and confirmed the site’s suitability for residential development.

Next came full planning approval for a 6.7-acre, 42-home scheme in Offenham following its deferral in October. Our Geo-Environmental team began by completing a Phase I Desk Study to identify any potential ground contamination risks, before undertaking on-site soakage testing and trial-pit observations. This work confirmed that infiltration wasn’t a viable option and provided a clear picture of groundwater conditions. These findings fed directly into our Flood Risk & Drainage team’s Full Flood Risk Assessment, shaping a drainage strategy tailored to the site’s constraints.

Working closely with the LLFA and Wychavon District Council, we aligned the approach with local requirements and supported a successful planning outcome, securing a robust outfall solution with the right mitigation measures in place.

We look forward to seeing both developments progress and delivering much-needed homes for Worcestershire.
