Specialist technical consultancy, MEC Consulting Group has reported a record year of trading, exceeding its financial targets and achieving its highest ever turnover while growing the team and expanding office space.
In its last financial year, the firm has:
· Recorded a turnover of £5.4m, the highest in its 16 years of trading
· Increased its turnover by £1.5m between 2024 and 2025
· Exceeded pre-tax profit and new work targets
MEC’s Managing Director, Alex Bennett comments: “2025 was a fantastic year with these record-breaking results marking our strongest financial performance to date, easily surpassing our previous best year of 2018 when we had more than 30 additional staff. “This success is a huge credit to the focus and talent of our team, as well as the continued trust our clients place in us. 2025’s growth was entirely organic and included the launch of our fourth office in Nottingham. In just six months, we’ve already doubled our desk space in the city, along with adding a further desk in our Birmingham office, which is a powerful indicator of the momentum within the business and our ambition for the future,” adds Alex.

Alex continues: “We’re excited to welcome these new and returning faces to the team, who will strengthen and grow four very busy disciplines. Each brings a wealth of experience and will allow us to expand our service offering as we continue to build on our momentum. “Communication and client care is paramount to any ongoing success, which is why we’re also going to be introducing a dedicated project management team to act as the central link between clients and internal technical teams. We’re recruiting for these roles right now and are seeking professionals who can ensure projects are coordinated, managed and delivered effectively. “All in all, we are confident we are in a strong position to achieve similar growth for 2026 while maintaining the robust service and technical excellence that we are known for,” concludes Alex.
