Consulting Development Engineers


Consulting development engineers, M-EC, boosts transport and civils teams with two Associate Directors and an Associate Transport Planner.

M-EC, one of the UK’s leading consulting development engineers, has made a trio of senior appointments within its transport and civil engineering teams. All based at M-EC’s Leicestershire HQ, the internal promotions see Simon Prescott heading up the Transport team, Kelly Allsopp leading the Civil Engineering team and Andy Roberts taking on greater responsibilities within Transport Planning.

Simon Prescott joined M-EC in 2016 and has been promoted to Associate Director of Transport. He will now take the lead for the five strong Transport team at M-EC, responsible for transport statements and assessments, travel planning, construction traffic management plans, road safety audits and all fundamental infrastructure planning and consultancy. Simon’s remit is to both significantly grow the transport team in terms of projects and staffing numbers, whilst ensuring quality and client care remains their top priority.

Andy Roberts who joined M-EC in 2014 as a Graduate, has also been made Associate Transport Planner within Simon’s team. Andy will be responsible for managing a number of multi-disciplinary transport projects, maintaining client relationships, helping to expand the team’s geographical reach and technical capabilities and mentoring M-EC’s current transport engineering apprentice, Dan Green.

In M-EC’s Civil Engineering division, Kelly Allsopp has been appointed as Associate Director, having joined M-EC in 2014 as Assistant Engineer and risen to the position of Associate, before this latest promotion. Kelly will now head up the team of 10 civil engineers in Leicester, managing the Infrastructure design team, providing highways and drainage design for many of the UK’s leading housebuilders and developers.

Based at M-EC’s Hugglescote headquarters in Leicestershire, the three appointments follow a series of senior hires in the last 12 months. M-EC has plans in place to further grow the teams across its six offices around the UK, providing engineering consultancy services for both private and public sector projects including residential, commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, education and healthcare.
