Acoustic Air - Odour Assessments

The Acoustic Air team undertake Odour Assessments for an extensive range of clients to support with planning applications and disturbance. Our assessments provide clients with a detailed overview of the impact that existing sources of odour will have on proposed residential developments. 

A Sniff test is carried out over several days during different wind conditions to ensure an all-encompassing approach is taken. This will determine the extent that odours can be detected at the required site location and what impact this will have on human beings. 

In order to carry out a ‘Sniff’ test, our team has undergone extensive testing to ensure that they comply with BS EN 13725.

Where required, we can provide odour modelling of specific sources and contour maps showing the extent of odour concentrations from the source; this can help determine the most impacted areas and can be used to define survey areas and conditions.
