Flood Risk and Drainage - Planning Conditions and Section 106 Negotiations

M-EC acknowledges that detailed planning applications are not always successful without a discharge of conditions that may be required once planning permission has been granted.

Our multi-skilled team of flood risk consultants, hydrologists and civil engineers are well-positioned to address any flood risk or drainage conditions imposed by the Water Risk Management team. These conditions range from completing standard drainage strategies to detailing certain attenuation features and complex flow controls.

A significant part of our work also involves engaging with sewerage undertakers to agree to dispose of surface and foul water arising as a result of the development. This liaison often addresses the points of practical connection to the public network and the available sewer capacity as part of Section 106 agreements.
