Structures - Building Structure Design

At M-EC, the in-house structures team has a vast knowledge of providing creative solutions for all structural designs. The team has experience working with steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures for a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and Local Authority clients. 

Following the planning approval of a development, the structures team will commence their involvement in providing detailed designs ready for construction. The intricate designs provide insight into the build of a structure, be it a large-scale commercial/industrial units, existing structure alterations, a residential home or an extension. The team use precise calculations to ensure the stability of the design and that the building materials used will be acceptable and do not overstress any areas of the new or existing building.

The team also work on several bespoke projects, such as ground and building signage, to ensure that their structural support is robust and works with the existing buildings or ground conditions. The M-EC team also ensures that all structural supports adhere to Health and Safety regulations to avoid any implications.  

M-EC are often instructed by various Local Authorities to check the designs and calculations of others that have been submitted for approval by the Authority.
