The local authority usually requests Travel Plans in order to discharge a planning condition(s) to encourage the use of more sustainable modes of transport via the use of targets and a package of measures.
Travel Information Packs M-EC’s transport team also regularly provide Travel Information Packs to our clients for residential, commercial and educational sites, which are often conditioned alongside Travel Plans. Our eye-catching, informative Travel Information Packs, which are printed in booklet form, provide a comprehensive overview of sustainable local travel options, including details of bus timetables, bus tickets, walking and cycling opportunities and links to a host of helpful travel information for the designated recipients.
Travel Plan Coordinator To go hand in hand with our Travel Information Packs, we provide an in-house resource to facilitate the role of Travel Plan Coordinator service. This role carries out baseline travel surveys for residential and commercial sites and provides monitoring reports to the local authority, where required. The purpose of this role is to reduce the number of single-occupancy car journeys associated with the development through regular contact with the residents, informing and keeping them updated on sustainable travel options.
