Background and industry experience
Michael joined MEC in July 2022 as a Civil Engineer Apprentice. Michael is currently working towards his BSc at Coventry University, IEng with the ICE and eventually would like to be chartered in the far future.
Michael works on a variety of project sectors, including residential, commercial, and small unique plots/projects. Michael noted that he’s particularly proud of working on a large site in Lichfield (Watery Lane). He said, “It’s nice to see it being built now”. When he first started, he worked on a project for some temporary construction works (drainage and pile mats) for the largest film studio in the UK.
When Michael is not at work, he enjoys going to the gym as well as working on his car. He also enjoys going to Ipswich games when he gets the chance to travel down there.

I love Kefalonia, but would like to go to Australia.
What is your favourite film?
Batman Begins.
What is your favourite thing to do at the weekend?
I like to go out on my motorbike.

If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Burritos/fajitas and Sticky Toffee Pudding with loads of custard.
