Background and industry experience
Gareth joined MEC in April 2022 in our Geomatics team. He previously worked in the events industry as an Events and Exhibition stand designer, designing, manufacturing and building exhibition stands throughout the U.K and Europe for national and international clients. Gareth is currently working towards chartership with CICES. He has GVC and A2OfC CAA certifications, and a Proqual level 3 in PAS128 Utility Mapping. He has worked with a variety of project sectors including: Residential, Commercial, Education, Government, Renewable Energy and Healthcare.
Outside of work, Gareth likes to go on walks with his wife and 6-year-old daughter. He enjoys trips to the coast, weekends away with family and visiting new places.

What is your favourite holiday destination?
Marrakech and Xabia are joint favourites. I love the hustle and bustle of Marrakech but also the tranquillity of the Spanish coast.
What is your favourite sport to follow?
I enjoy attending and watching the BTCC.
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza (controversially with pineapple).
