
Background and industry experience
Harry is a Senior Acoustic Consultant at MEC with over six years’ experience in acoustics, specialising in environmental noise and acoustics-led overheating assessments. After graduating from the University of East Anglia with a BSc in Geography, he joined MEC in 2019 and has since developed expertise in delivering acoustic consultancy projects across a range of sectors.
Harry has extensive experience assessing noise from sources such as road traffic, railways, and commercial operations, including detailed acoustic modelling, data analysis, and the development of practical mitigation strategies. He also specialises in acoustics-led overheating assessments, helping clients balance thermal comfort and ventilation requirements with effective noise control solutions.
In 2023, Harry completed the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control, achieving a Merit grade. This further strengthened his technical knowledge and expertise in environmental acoustics and noise mitigation design. More recently, he was granted Full Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA), recognising his professional experience and technical expertise within the field.
Outside of work, Harry enjoys playing football and golf, and has recently taken up padel tennis. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancée and their Bearded Collie, Marnie, exploring the countryside and local walking trails.
