Background and industry experience
Jed joined MEC in March 2025 as a Civil Engineer. He started in this industry as an apprentice nearly 10 years ago, where he started working in transport and infrastructure design. Since then, he has expanded his expertise, earning a BEng in Civil Engineering from Nottingham Trent University. Jed is working towards his ICE IEng Chartership too. His experience spans projects across the country, with a primary focus on S38 & S278 highway link design, including development access, onsite infrastructure planning, and public realm works. In addition, he has played a key role in the technical delivery of residential and commercial developments, covering everything from cut and fill analysis to onsite drainage and the detailed design of adoptable drainage systems. Jed mainly does a lot of work on national highway schemes.
Outside of work, Jed is a passionate Sunderland fan and enjoys going to the gym and playing golf. He also loves cooking, travelling, and socialising with friends.
