
Background and industry experience
Jimesh joined MEC in August 2022. He is a geo-environmental engineer with nearly 14 years’ experience in the environmental consultancy and ground investigation sectors. He has worked on projects ranging from major national infrastructure and heavy industry sites to greenfield residential developments and private individual clients.
Having graduated with an MSci in Geology from the University of Bristol, where he spent a year abroad in Calgary. Jimesh went on to complete an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham and is currently a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
Jimesh has worked in a range of industries, including the residential and commercial sectors, as well as heavy industry such as mining and oil refineries, and major infrastructure projects, including road and rail. Through his working career, Jimesh has gained a broad range of knowledge with regards to contaminated land and risk assessment, including the completion of GQRAs and DQRAs for controlled waters. He has also developed a wide range of field skills including supervision of drilling, logging, sampling, monitoring, and in-situ testing.
Jimesh’s favourite mineral is lepidolite. Outside of work, Jimesh enjoys reading, playing video games, eating gelato, and cycling.
