Background and industry experience
Ryan joined MEC in November 2019 as an Assistant Flood Risk Engineer. He has since built his knowledge and experience through his time at MEC and is now one of the most senior members of the Flood Team.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Hazards from the University of Portsmouth, and has worked in the industry since graduating. Before joining MEC, he worked for a global mapping team where he developed high resolution fluvial, pluvial and storm surge hazard maps for the US.
Outside of work, Ryan used to play a lot of Rugby Union, but after the number of recent injuries he decided to swap this with watching TV, going to the gym, long walk and badminton with friends.
